Who are these women? They are moms and step-moms; some with one child, some with four. A few of them stay-at-home, some work-at-home, and and many work away-from-home. They are attorneys, business owners, nurses, producers, teachers, photographers, therapists, professors, librarians, lactation consultants, pastors, paralegals, and principals. They are also writers. They have been published online and in print and have had their names and faces graced the likes of Parents Magazine, Her View From Home, Motherly, and Scary Mommy, to name a few. So, who are these women?
They are Mid-Michigan Moms Blog.
Amanda lives in Holly with her husband, their 3-year-old daughter, and two mini-dachshunds. She's a boss-lady times two - running her own wedding and portrait photography business, as well as, hitting the 9-5 during the week. Amanda was a stay-at-home mom for 2.5 years, so she's seen both ends of the spectrum and is navigating the ever-changing roles of motherhood. Amid a busy schedule, she makes it a priority to slow down for family time such as breakfast at a local restaurant, exploring a new park, or heading to their family cabin Up North - all with her camera in hand to capture the memories of course! At home, you'll find Amanda binge-watching true-crime documentaries and baking sweet treats. I’m Angela and I am pumped to be joining this incredible group of Mid-Michigan Moms. Although I am a SAHM to two little rascals, I try to wear several hats throughout the week. I am a runner, graduate student, prayer warrior, wife, and cook of Greek food (or any food for that matter) among other things. Angela is also a writer - you can check her out here! I’m a fervent believer that I will NEVER be too old for a good girls night that may just include one too many cocktails. I am absolutely in love with the comradery of sisterhood and motherhood because strong women together can do extraordinary things.Senior ContributorBorn and raised in Grand Blanc Michigan, Christine and her husband are big fans of “do what works for you” parenting. She’s a stay at home mom to two boys, born 13 months apart, and stepmom to a creative and compassionate grown daughter. Michael, a sensitive and resolute 4-year-old and Andrew, a 3-year-old wildly spirited soul, keep Christine active and on her toes. She hopes to instill her same love of the Michigan outdoors in her kids by keeping busy outside. They can often be found walking their two German Shepards, cheering on the Detroit Tigers, exploring local parks or enjoying play dates anywhere kids can expend large amounts of energy with minimal destruction of property.ContributorCourtney lives in Grand Blanc. She's married to Matt, and they have two very smart, energetic, and involved kids, Walker and Tenley. Courtney is a working mom who spends her days teaching High School Biology and English. She thrives on being busy, but also struggles with finding a good balance. She loves working with people, but definitely is inspired when she is interacting with young people. In her free time....just kidding she doesn't have free time, but she does love to go to concerts and catch up with friends and family. Favorite things include Michigan football, college basketball, scented candles, any beach, campfires, traveling and spontaneous dance parties.Contributor + Sales AssociateDena lives in Grand Blanc with her husband, Chris (a film professor and writer), her daughter (a smart and sassy preschooler, whose nickname is Sprout), and her daughter's BFF, a grumpy-but-sweet old lady cat named Luna.
