Halloween, a holiday filled with mystery, magic, superstition + FUN!

 That black cat? Avoid it. Break a mirror?  Seven years of bad luck. And don’t dream of stepping on a crack or spilling salt.

As you prepare for the magic that is Halloween, here is your guide to Halloween happenings in Genesee County!

Halloween Ghosts & Goodies at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad
GCMB loves Crossroads on a “normal” day, but bring October into the mix and you have our attention! Weekends, all month long, you will find treats and tricks, not to mention cider and donuts, little monsters and lots of fun. There will also be a magic show, a straw maze and 20 treat stops throughout the Village at Halloween Ghosts & Goodies! Top off your trip with a 40 minute ride on the famous Huckleberry Ghost Train Express.  Be sure to get your tickets ahead of time, as the train tickets tend to sell out! Check the calendar here to see all the dates and times for this spooktacular event!

Ooky Spooky Light Show at Longway Planetarium
The Ooky Spooky Light Show is fun for the entire family. Enjoy classic Halloween songs like “The Monster Mash,” “Ghostbusters,” “Thriller,” “Night on Bald Mountain” come to life with amazing graphics and lights. The light show was created in Flint by Longway’s team of artists and programmers! A family friendly event with visuals that are funny, spooky, and FUN! Celebrate the fun of the season with you family!

Upland Hills Farm
Lets be real, we pretty much love everything at Upland Hills, and fall is no exception! A short ride away in Oxford, this family friendly farm is a must visit! Beginning October 6, and running every Friday and Saturday night throughout the month of October, you can join the fun for Harvest Moon Hayrides. This is NOT a scary hayride. Just a 30-minute hayride under the moon, followed by a bonfire and snacks after. Check it out if you are looking for something fun + unique to do!

OCTOBER 8 – 14

MAKEbreak Great Pumpkin Event
Head out to your local Michaels Store for this pumpkin-filled weekend!  From 1p until 3p, you purchase a craft pumpkin and the rest of your supplies are provided for free.  What a great way to get your little ones involved in Halloween decorating!

Davison’s 28th Annual Pumpkin Festival
There will be lots to do including Trunk or Treat, a pet costume photo contest, a pancake breakfast, hayrides, inflatables, contests and more!

Trunk or Treat
Join us on October 13 from 6p until 7p at Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc for their annual Trunk or Treat!  Candy, bounce houses, food and fun!  We hope to see you there! 

FREE Halloween Costume Photos
Offered by KRB Portrait Photography, this event will take place in Kearsley Park in Flint from 1 – 4pm! Photos will be edited and uploaded to the company’s Facebook page, so be sure to check back after having your picture taken!


Dreadlands Haunt
Davison Community Enrichment and Recreation will host this “thrill of a lifetime” event on Friday, October 20! There will be a haunted trail with a zipline, donuts, drinks and more! Get your tickets today for this family fun event!

Fall Family Fun Weekend with Trick or Treating
Covenant Hills Camp & Retreat in Otisville is hosting a Family Fun Weekend! Check out the beautiful fall colors, eat ice cream, and enjoy a bonfire. There will be boating, fishing, climbing, pumpkin carving and more! 

Wonderfully Wicked Woods
Davison Township Parks & Recreation invites you to the Robert Williams Nature & Historical Learning Center on October 21 from 1 – 6 pm. Come in costume and participate in the activities that will be onsite for your family to enjoy! Be sure to register for this family fun event!

Trunk or Treat 2017 at First United Methodist Church of Mt. Morris
This is a free community event on 10/21 from 4 – 6 pm that will include pumpkin decorating, apple picking, popcorn and trick or treating in a safe environment! All are encouraged to dressed in costume!


Trunk N Treat at the East Flint Church of the Nazarene 
This annual fall family event will be held on Sunday, October 22 from 4 – 6:30 pm!

Spooky Monster Magic Show hosted by Southern Lakes Parks & Recreation
Bring the family on October 26 to this Fenton event! Experience a magic show and comedy, including some audience participation. Dress in your costume and enjoy cookies & punch. Register here!

Head over to Cook GM Super Store on October 26 from 4p until 7p for a FREE event!  Come dressed in costume for candy, popcorn and FUN!

Trunk or Treat Night
Come out to The Oaks at Woodfield in Grand Blanc tonight from 6:30p until 8p for its Community Halloween event!  There will be a costume contest, activities, cider, donuts and fun!  We hope to see you there!

GCMB Playdate at the Flint Children’s Museum
We’re thrilled to announce our Halloween Playdate with the Flint Children’s Museum on 10/25! Come dressed in costume, and get ready to learn, play and explore at one of our favorite local children’s venues! Children and adults are encouraged to dress up for our morning of fun! Enjoy a guided playdate, time with the Big Blue Blocks in the Discovery Zone, a special Dry Ice Pumpkin presentation, Giveaways and more! Halloween in the Gardens at Applewood
Halloween Week at Applewood runs from 10/26-29 from 11 – 5 pm! Join in the fall fun for the last week that the Estate is open for the 2017 season! Dress in your family friendly Halloween costume and enjoy trick or treating throughout the beautifully decorated grounds. No reservations needed, all activities and fun are on a first-come first-served basis.

TFC Family Ministry Big Pumpkin Fest 2017
Taking place in Fenton on October 27 from 5 – 9 pm. Enjoy fall games, a petting zoo, cider & donuts, a trebuchet candy launch, pumpkin patch, hay wagon rides, laser tag, live Yo Yo entertainment and ton of fall fun!

 Indoor Trick or Treat Festival at St John & Blessed Sacrament
Come on over to the Parish Hall on October 27!  Games, candy, prizes and more! Enjoy hot dogs, chips and beverages while wearing your costume. Don’t forget your treat bags!

Thetford Police, Clio Fire and Senior Center Halloween Party
Bring your mask.  Bring your broom.  Come out on October 27 from 5p until 8p for a TRUNK OR TREAT in the parking lot between the fire hall and the police department.  There will be candy, hot chocolate, cider, donuts, hayrides and more!

Harvest Fest/Kids Day at Gerych’s
Head to Fenton on October 28th for this spooktacular event! Join the fun from 11 am until 2 pm. Food, fun, and photos, face painting, crafts, and more! 

Central Assembly PCG Harvest Party/Trunk Or Treat
Join the fun on October 28 from noon until 4 pm. Enjoy a harvest party, trunk or treat, bounce houses, games and more!

Trick or Treat at the Davison Farmers Market
Come to the Market today, October 28, from 12p until 2p and Trick or Treat at the market!  Stick around and from 3p until 4p, you will have the opportunity to make your own caramel apple!  We hope to see you there!

Join us in downtown Holly on October 28 from 1p until 4p for inflatables, candy, cider, donuts, prizes and more!  Hosted by River Church, this a FREE event!  We hope to see you there! 

Sacred Elements Trunk or Treat
Join the fun on October 28th from 5 until 8 pm! Dress to impress for the best costume prize! Lots of fun and festivities are sure to be had at this Flint event.

Halloween Hootenanny at Longway Planetarium
Join the fall fun on October 28 from 5 – 7 pm. Bring your little monster(s) out for a night of boo-gieing, treats and prizes! The best costume will win a prize!  Each ticket includes admission to the Ooky Spooky Light Show. Get your tickets today!

Trunk and Treat at Divine Grace Lutheran Church 
Head to nearby Lake Orion on October 28 at 4 pm! Children can safely trick or treat and play Halloween games.

Encore Dance Halloween Bash and Fundraiser
This themed event on 10/28 from 1-2 pm, will include Halloween inspired dances for guests to learn, snacks, and other fun activities! This event is open to the public. Admission is free but Encore is asking for a donation of $5. All the money raised will be donated in honor of an incredibly strong woman struggling with breast cancer, and her family. 


Halloween Trick or Treating with Gerych’s Special Events & Floral Design
On Halloween head out to “An Event So Good It’s Scary!” Bring your little ghouls and goblins for a safe trick or treat event. The fun runs from 1 until 6 pm!

Genesee County 911 and Michigan State Police – Flint Post, will be hosting a free, family fun event on October 29 from 3p until 6p.  Come on out and support some of our local Law Enforcement whom support us!

Light up the night at First Presbyterian Church in Flint on October 29 from 5:30p until 7p.  Children 12 and under will receive a passport punch for trick-or-treating safely in the parking lot.

Halloween Shoot
From 9a until 8p on October 31, Williams Gun Sight Company in Davison will host a haunted takeover!  Costume contest, treats for kids, festive targets and a pumpkin challenge!

Trick Or Treat
The Clio Area Fire Department is hosting a trick or treat on October 31 at the Fire Station on October 31 from 5p until 8p.  Cotton Candy, popcorn, cider and donuts and lots of candy!

Trunk or Treat
Grace Cathedral Community Church in Flint is hosting a Trunk or Treat on October 31 from 5:30p until 7p.  This is a safe, all ages event that is sure to be the hit of Halloween night!
